How to stand out in a suit
When you’re wearing a suit or a smart casual outfit to the office or out in the town, how do you set what you’re wearing apart from the rest?
Men’s clothing can be very one-dimensional, with guys sticking to a shirt-and-jeans combo or traditional blue and grey suiting. In my eyes, they’re both perfect ways of dressing for a man, but in this dog-eat-dog world where everyone wants to be a somebody, it can be difficult to strike a balance between dressing well (but looking like everyone else) and dressing differently (and looking too flamboyant).
Thankfully, the answer is simple: it’s all in the finishing touches and finer details.
The most important thing to get down is the size and fit of your clothing. Once you’ve cracked that, you are ready to adapt your outfit with little personal touches that suit your style, taken from current or up-and-coming trends that you love, or clever individual details you have seen other people wearing. We all know the obvious ones — the pocket square, an eye-catching tie, cufflinks — but what else is there to choose from that can help make you look sharp at work?
The answer is simple. Visit our Filip Cezar tailoring and one of our advisers will explain everything you need to know about a proper suit.
