Bespoke suits: Each customer brings with them their own style and vision

Alina Matei: I will kindly ask you to tell us how the Creation Workshop bearing your name came to be.

Cristinel Filip: Filip Cezar creation workshop was born out of the desire to transform the way we perceive and understand clothing. Bespoke is not just a method of creating garments; it is a philosophy.

Each suit is not just a piece of clothing but a personalized story of the style and individuality of each client. From the first step into the workshop, the creation process becomes a unique journey, with precise measurements and careful consultation to capture the essence of the wearer.

Alina Matei: What is fashion from your perspective?

Cristinel Filip: Fashion is the dominant style in a particular culture, and we excel in seamlessly blending tradition with innovation. Centuries-old creation methods meet modern technologies, giving garments a classic yet contemporary touch. Thus, each garment becomes a unique piece that tells a timeless story.

Bespoke is not just a method of creating garments; it is a philosophy.

Each suit is not just a piece of clothing but a personalized story of the style and individuality of each client.

Alina Matei: A good suit is backed by a skilled tailor. What does the skill of a tailor consist of? How many pairs of eyes does a tailor at the Filip Cezar Creation Workshop need?

Cristinel Filip: Behind each suit hides the craftsmanship and experience of the advisors and tailors in the workshop. Meticulous selection of fine fabrics, combined with attention to detail and a passion for creation, transforms materials into proudly worn works of art. Colors become expressions of personality, and impeccable stitches emphasize quality and attention to detail.

The Filip Cezar workshop is not just a place of creation but also a legacy of elegance. Our contribution to the community and the world of fashion cannot be underestimated. With each created suit, the workshop continues to share the beauty of craftsmanship and personalized creation, inspiring new generations of style and beauty enthusiasts.

Alina Matei: You create clothes. What material do you work with; with the material in the sense of fabric, with the material called a human being? And here I would quote Virginia Woolf, who said, "Trifles as they seem, clothes have a much more important function than keeping us warm. They change our perspective on the world and the world's perspective on us."

Cristinel Filip: Filip Cezar works with premium fabrics, most of which are purchased from world-class manufacturers in Italy, France, and England. However, beyond fabrics and stitches, the Filip Cezar workshop is a temple of creativity, individuality, and passion. From the moment fine fabrics are chosen to when the final suit is proudly delivered, each stage of the creation process is a manifestation of excellence and craftsmanship. Thus, the Filip Cezar workshop has redefined the concept of personalized clothing, bringing bespoke art into our hearts and wardrobes.

Alina Matei: Every person has a certain style of dressing. Unmistakable. And this without consulting a professional. How do you deal with those who come to you with the matter of style? What do you do when they show you a picture of a suit, and you're on the tip of your tongue to tell them it's nonsense, but you can't for fear of making them feel uncomfortable?

Cristinel Filip: In the Filip Cezar workshop, each suit has a story, and each client brings their own style and vision. From ordinary people to artists or business people, each clothing choice is a manifestation of their personality and aspirations.

Alina Matei: What piece of clothing is more challenging to make from your point of view?

Cristinel Filip: The jacket of the suit involves the most operations. Our jackets are created so that every detail is considered and personalized accordingly. Aspects such as a bent back, dropped or pulled-back shoulders, a more developed or asymmetrical chest, developed biceps, etc., will be taken into account. From designs to materials, accessories, and the final shape, everything will be customized. That means bespoke.

Alina Matei: There are clothes that look good both on a person and on a hanger, while others only if worn by a person. It seems that the garment comes to life once it feels human contact. Where is the magic: in the garment that hides it or in the person who discovers it?

Cristinel Filip: Because it is based on precise measurements and takes into account all the anatomical defects of the wearer, a custom-made suit (bespoke, not made to measure) will look perfect only on the person or mannequin for whom it was made.

Alina Matei: The suits you create also target important occasions in people's lives (weddings, baptisms). If you were to create suits for such events for the year 2123, how would you envision them?

Cristinel Filip: The suits from Filip Cezar would
